sustainability in early childhood development

The first nursery in the UAE that applies the theory of the American scientist (Howard Gardner) for multiple intelligences (IQ) merged with the Early Years foundation stage Early Years inspired approach to teaching and learning, we see children as unique, curious and competent learners. Based on Inquiry based thinking, our learning approach is underpinned by the five C’s: Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Care.


 we believe in providing an environment that is appropriate for enhancing each child’s development. we create opportunities for play, discovery, and exploration, to support each child’s growth and development. We believe each child is unique, and the educator’s role is to scaffold a child’s development at the pace suitable to them.


Using the IQ merged with the Early Years Foundation Stage, your child will engage in a range of learning opportunities across the seven areas of learning and development, these include: Linguistic IQ, Logical -mathematical IQ, Naturalistic IQ, Bodily- kinaesthetic IQ, Intrapersonal IQ, Musical and Arts IQ, interpersonal IQ.

Stages of Development

Infant (45 days to 1 year)

Our baby rooms offer a safe, homely environment that is carefully curated to stimulate infants to support this rapid period of brain development. Focusing on emotional development, sensory experiences using natural play materials, develop gross and fine motor skills.

Toddlers (12 months to 24 months)

Our youngest children are inquisitive learners, seeking knowledge in all they do. We provide guidance, warmth and sample opportunities for discovery. Our toddler room is a cozy, safe and warm environment, during this stage, we support children with love and positive reinforcement .The curriculum focusses on enabling children to explore, learn, and enjoy a variety of topics with range of opportunities to explore their surroundings and develop motor skills , Sensory play and messy play encourage our children to use all their senses in their learning and provide lots of opportunity for rich language use.

Nursery (2 to 3 years)

Our Nursery rooms invite children to explore concepts and themes through various resources and planned play opportunities. learning using all the senses. Children are encouraged to observe natural phenomena, begin to engage with peers through socio-dramatic play and to explore the world of storytelling and books. The space is designed to follow children’s interests and balance their need for fine and gross motor movement

Foundation (3 to 4 years)

The final stage of preparation before going to primary school. The classrooms are continuously adapted to match the ongoing inquiry projects in each group including a range of resources to explore the world of letters, phonics, reading, writing, shapes, numbers, creative play, and cooperation. Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace, which builds their independence & resilience.

Setting & Play based Learning

At IQ Kids Nursery, children enjoy natural environments with rich indoor and outdoor areas to explore and grow to their full potential. Our classrooms are thoughtfully planned and engaging environments (centres ) that the children approach each day full of choice and exploration, reflects the personalities, interests of the children who occupy that space, encourages the children’s sense of ownership of and responsibility for the classroom. We have large, secure outdoor play areas where children may engage in many activities. Activities will be organized to enhance and extend the child's learning experience. All outdoor play facilities are regularly checked and maintained to always ensure a fun and safe environment,
The daily schedule is full of educational and fun activities, providing a complete and well-rounded learning experience. IQ Kids Nursery organises the day so that children can take part in a variety of child chosen and adult led activities that consider the children’s changing energy levels throughout the day.
We promote the national identity (UAE culture) , We learn our children the Quran ‎in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Children learn in Arabic the phonics, words, phrases, songs and prayers throughout the day with an emphasis on correct pronunciation. ‎ Arabic Teachers engage the children in oral fun-focused activities and provide an encouraging ‎environment for all levels. These lessons initially focus on building vocabulary and the introduction of ‎dua’s and Arabic conversation using the EYFS approach.
We promote inclusion, children of determination are received (simple cases), and work with them through an individual educational plan , promote them with special sessions (ABA) by SEND department
